Samuel Paschuan's Journey to Cybersecurity
Hi.
I`m Samuel Paschuan, aka anti, cofounder of Securejump, a small cybersecurity company in Chile.
I've been messing around with computers since I was three.
I remember breaking my father's pc, deleting all the files (because I didn´t know how to read yet).
He told me that, if I wanted to use the PC again, I had to learn how to read.
And I did.
In less than 6 months.
Since then, I've always been learning and hacking.
My junior years (when I was like 11 or 12) were filled with pictures of Backtrack, msfpayload, msfencode, and any phone I could get my hands on.
Reverse shelling the phone just because it was fun.
When I was around 13-14, I started to learn programming and the basics of computers.
I remember writing shitty Java CLI games, and, more often than not, jumping between programming languages (and not truly learning any lol).
I had my first job in IT when I was 16.
I was a sysadmin for a small school, which needed to go virtual because of the pandemic (around 2020).
I didn't really know what I was doing.
But through study, trial and error, I became good at it.
I liked it.
That same year, I moved all my PCs and laptops to Arch Linux (OF COURSE I USE ARCH, BTW!!).
In 2021, I got into University.
Four years later, I'm 21.
I've worked as:
• a cybersec analyst
• pentester
• digital forensics analyst
• awareness trainer
And have my own company.
I like to think I'm a well-respected individual in the area, at least in my country.
I'm also developing my own operating system: THEOS.
And now I help in developing HARDN.
Because Securejump doesn't just take, it gives back.
