Installing the i3 Window Manager on Debian
Step by step guide and HOWTO
Debian was first announced in 1993 by Ian Murdock, and it is one of the oldest distributions still in active development.
Today we shall install the i3 Window Manager on Debian.
We need to complete several steps to get it working correctly.
1. Boot the system -- System Ready.
2. Boot the system -- Logged In.
3. Switch to root
su
4. Running update
apt-get update
5. Running 'apt install i3'
apt install i3
6. Running 'apt install i3'
apt install i3
7. Running 'apt install i3'
apt install i3
8. Running 'apt install xorg'
apt install xorg
9. Running 'apt install xorg'
apt install xorg
10. Running 'apt install xorg'
apt install xorg
11. Running 'startx'
startx
13. i3 WM
13. i3 WM
14. i3 WM
15. i3 WM
uname -a
top
16. i3 WM
nano
ls
17. i3 WM
18. i3 WM
19. i3 WM
20. i3 WM
htop
21. i3 WM
